1. Choose a design

Choose a design from our DESIGN GALLERY, or create your own. Do a search on the internet for a wide variety of barn quilts images. Keep in mind where you will hang your barn quilt. If hanging by your front door, a more intricate design and earthy colors may be in order. If hanging on a barn, bold colors and big blocky patterns look best. Show your personality! I am happy to help you with your ideas.

2. which size?

Decide what size you would like. Pay attention to how you will hang your quilt and how much space is available. Barn Quilts can be attached to sheds, fences, posts and many outbuildings. 

I am showing you the most common sizes I paint, but I am able to paint much larger quilts for larger spaces. Please call me for details and pricing.

COLORS

3. choose your colors

Choose your colors from my color chart. I’m adding new colors all of the time. Realize that the true color doesn’t really show on a computer. Viewing some of my designs may give a good idea of the color and combinations as well.

Painting Process

I start with 1/2" MDO signboard which is lightweight and durable for outside conditions. Both sides are prepared with 3 coats of primer. I use exterior acrylic house paint and apply 3 coats of each color. I do not recommend using any sealer as they always yellow and crack over time.

Stated prices are for a simple design with up to 5 colors. Larger sizes are available by custom order. Please contact me for details.

We accept cash, personal check and PayPal. Payment must be received before your project is started. Please call to confirm order and talk over details.
